Gloucester, MA (July 17, 2009) – ITT Corporation, a leading manufacturer of small motor and air-operated pumps for industrial markets won the NMMA’s Innovation Award in the Electrical Systems and Equipment Category with its new Charge N’ Flow Portable Pump Kit.
It is a small, versatile pump for washdowns, emergencies and diesel fuel transfers. “With three sources of power and a price point of US$99.99, this is a neat, compact, and versatile pump which will have a number of uses on and off the boat,” said Zuzana Prochazka, one of the judges, in a statement.
Charge N’ Flow is rechargeable, submersible, and designed for a wide variety of applications both onboard and ashore. “The versatility of this pump along with multiple power options makes it the ideal pump to keep on hand for any situation,” says Jeff Schopperle, Strategic Product Manager at ITT Corporation, “plus, with battery power, and two other convenient power options, it works wherever you need it.
Aboard, the Charge N’ Flow pump can be used to pump bilge water from tight spaces, as a deck shower, general washdown, de-watering, and for fluid transfer. Onshore the pump helps with clogged sinks, to assist with a backed up drain basin, and even to help around the campsite. It is capable of pumping hot or cold freshwater, seawater, antifreeze, and even diesel.
The kit comes complete with a 12 volt 280 GPH pump, eight feet of lay flat hose, spray nozzle, enclosed battery, AC battery charger, battery clip adaptor, and a vehicle power adapter. It also includes a filter for use in submersible mode, or when the filter is removed, the pump can be used inline.
The Charge N’ Flow pump is very compact, only 5.5 inches tall and 1.5 inches in diameter, and can handle up to 100 gallons of water per charge.
When connected to a car battery, it can pump endless amounts of water!
